Mary Magdalene was sent to the Apostles (John 20:17–18 & Mark 16:9-11), so she’s often called “Apostle to the Apostles” for “apostle” means “sent-out one.” So why wouldn’t women also be Prophets? Female Prophets are named in the Bible, which tells us more than a thing or two. This is an excerpt from the introduction to the book Secrets of the HOLY SPIRIT (RUACH HA KODESH) 2nd Edition by Prophet Elisaheva Eliyahu.
YAHUVEH GOD has used women as Prophets in the Bible. For example, in Exodus 15:20 we read, “Miryam the Prophet, the Sister of Aharon, took a tambourine in her hand; and all the women went out after her with tambourines, dancing” (CJB). In Judges 4:4, we read of a female Judge—meaning one who served as the political, military, judicial as well as spiritual leader—of Israel: “Deborah, a woman, a Prophet, the Wife of Lapidoth, was herself judging Israel at that time” (ISV), and of how, in her own words,
“the inhabitants of the villages ceased […] until that I, Deborah, arose—that I arose a Mother in Israel” (Judges 5:7, KJV). Elisheva Eliyahu also carries the Anointing of a Spiritual Mother and an Anointing like unto Deborah of Old, as do other women who have joined with and support AmightyWind. Later during a time when there were several prominent and male Prophets—such as Jeremiah, Nahum, Zephaniah and Habakkuk, among others—the female Prophet Huldah made history; in 2 Kings 22:14, we read that when the young King Josiah wanted to inquire of YAHUVEH (concerning his kingdom and the Law of Moses), he sent his men to hear the word of the LORD from her, the Prophet Huldah’s, mouth: “So Hilkiah the Priest, Ahikam, Acbor, Shaphan, and Asaiah went to the New Quarter of Jerusalem to consult with the Prophet Huldah. She was the Wife of Shallum Son of Tikvah, Son of Harhas, the Keeper of the Temple Wardrobe” (NLT). Prophet Huldah had GOD-given authority to validate Scripture itself. YAH used her to speak a Prophetic Word that would shake the nation, pronounce Judgment, foresee things to come and even confirm the authority of Moses—the Torah had been forgotten or lost for some generations (2 Kings 22: 13, 15-20 & 23:1-30). Elisheva is likewise a Prophet to the Nations, who have been sent with an Apostolic Anointing—to remind us, among other things, to remember the Torah given to Moses, and especially the 10 Commandments inscribed by the very Finger of YAHUVEH GOD HIMSELF (Ex 31:18; Deut 9:10)! YAH may use anyone of either gender, or any age, as a Prophet! GOD reveals HIMSELF in the most meek and humble. We read in Luke of YAHUSHUA—just a NEWBORN BABE, the PROMISED MESSIAH yet HIMSELF an INFANT—when HE was first brought into the Temple and an elderly woman was moved in SPIRIT to testify; we read of Prophet Anna:
Now there was one, Anna, a Prophet, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was of a great age, and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity; and this woman was a widow of about eighty-four years, who did not depart from the Temple, but served GOD with fastings and prayers night and day. And coming in that instant [after YAHUSHUA was circumcised] she gave thanks to the LORD, and spake of HIM to all those who looked for Redemption in Jerusalem. (Luke 2:36-38, CJB & KJV)
Furthermore, there are at least ten Female Prophets mentioned in the Bible: at least five in the Old Testament including the Prophet Isaiah’s wife (Isaiah 8:3) and in the New Testament including Philip the Evangelist’s four virgin daughters (Acts 21:8-9). There are countless female leaders throughout the Bible, especially the New Testament (although often lost in translation[1]). In addition, there were other women, who although not called “Prophets,” still prophesied—such as Rachel (Gen 30:24), Hannah (1 Sam 2:1-10), Abigail (1 Sam 25:29-31), YAHUSHUA’S earthly mother, the virgin Mary (Luke 1:46-55) and John the Baptist’s mother, named Elisheva (Lk 1:41-45). Over the years since Elisheva Eliyahu was first saved, many Pentecostal Prophets have received Words that she not only has an Anointing like Elijah of Old, and a forerunner spirit as John the Baptist; but she is also like unto John the Baptist’s mother (even with the same first name).
Elisheva Eliyahu has the Anointing of a Spiritual Mother to many of YAH’S Prophets! And whosoever wholeheartedly embraces this Ministry also experiences the Anointing of John the Baptist & Elijah of Old that spreads as a Wildfire of Holiness!
